The unit comes equipped with an 8.6" resistive touchscreen display that utilizes either a stylus or finger for data input. With an outstanding resolution of 1024 x 768, along with AMREL's Alpha-Star™ sunlight readable XGA display, outdoor readability is no problem. Programmable Glowing Function KeysOften missions are conducted during time periods or environments that allow for little or no light. The DR7-M comes with six programmable function keys that also glow in the dark. Once exposed to light for the appropriate amount of time, the keys will continue to glow for hours in the dark. Multiple I/O Ports and Expansion SlotsFrom storing data to transmitting important information, the Patriot tablet is ideal for use in the field. The DR7-M military computer comes with a variety of I/O ports for increased device options. In addition to LAN, Serial, and USB ports, the tablet also includes a standard DC power military connector port. Military personnel have even more options with a mini PCI and PCMCIA Type II slots for additional expansion capabilities. MIL-STD 461 CertifiedAMREL’s military computers have all been MIL-STD 461 certified by an independent testing lab. The DR7-M tablet includes MIL-STD 461 electromagnetic emissions shielding certification as a standard feature. Done in response to increasing concern for security and reliability during mission critical field use, the tablet’s performance will not be affected by radio frequencies, magnetic fields, and other disruptive emissions. MIL-STD 810F CertifiedMilitary computers must come equipped to operate under a variety of extreme conditions. That’s why AMREL’s military computers are MIL-STD 810F certified. Patriot rugged tablets are resistant to rain, shock, humidity, vibration, salt fog, altitude, and also extreme temperatures. The DR7-M also meets Industrial IP54 certification for dust and water resistance. The combination of MIL-STD 810F and IP54 certification makes these rugged tablets virtually indestructible. Additional Standard FeaturesAMREL products are all built with tough features designed specifically for a rugged computer. The DR7-M has sealed port and connector covers as well as a removable Lithium-Ion battery. Capable of operating on a full version of Microsoft Windows XP, AMREL’s rugged tablet arms military personnel with the advanced informational tools necessary to successfully maneuver through mission critical scenarios. The unit also comes equipped with an Intel® (ULV) Ultra Low-voltage processor.
